San Diego Youth Council

Any underage individual who purchases, attempts to purchase or consumes an alcoholic beverage will receive a minimum $250 fine and/or 24 to 32 hours of required community service in addition to having driving privilege suspended or delayed for 1 year.

San Diego Youth Council is a diverse group of leaders throughout San Diego County committed to reducing underage drinking through media and policy advocacy.
Our goal is to combat mixed messages about alcohol that youth hear everyday through radio, magazines, TV and billboards.

History

The San Diego Youth Council was founded in 2000 to provide key youth leadership for the San Diego County Policy Panel on Youth Access to Alcohol. Youth Council has been involved in many countywide media events, including creating their own successful media event!

Come Join the Fun!

We meet once a month in San Diego to work on campaigns and presentations focused on reducing underage drinking.
